National Insurance Institute (Bituach Leumi) offices will be closed to the public Tuesday, as workers plan on staying off the job. A spokesperson for the union representing workers said that they were protesting “one-sided decisions by management and the ongoing and serious lack of manpower.” The NII issued a statement, urging workers to conduct talks about their grievances instead of striking.
Officials said that medical assistance committees will function as usual.
