Uproar at Start of Sentencing for Fogel Murderer

The beginning of the sentencing for Amjad Awad, the confessed murderer of five members of the Fogel family in Itamar, was disrupted by Member of Knesset Michael Ben-Ari and Jewish activists Itamar Ben-Gvir and Baruch Marzel, Monday afternoon. When Awad was brought into the military courtroom in Salem, north of Jerusalem, the three hurled epithets at him. They were cited as yelling, "They should murder you, butcher you!" "Your punishment is the death penalty" "Every dog has its day!"

The three said, "The judges are party to a show. They understand that they are imposing a temporary sentence until he is released."
