Kadima MKs Demand Earlier Primaries

Kadima party Members of Knesset Shaul Mofaz, Avi Dichter and Meir Sheetrit sent a letter to party chairwoman Tzipi Livni, Sunday, demanding that the party discuss scheduling its leadership primaries as soon as possible during Monday's meeting of the party's Knesset faction. In the letter, they said the discussion should not be delayed any further, explaining that the party must prepare for next year's general elections and delays will only hurt the party's chances to serve as an alternative to the Netanyahu government.

Mofaz and Dichter have challenged Livni for the top spot. Both have been especially critical since the state comptroller criticized the party in a recent report.
