Orlev Dislikes Language of Libel Law Amendment

Member of Knesset Zevulun Orlev (Bayit Yehudi-New National Religious Party) said, Monday, that he is not comfortable with the wording of an amendment to the libel law which is expected to receive its first reading in the Knesset on Monday. The amendment calls for compensation up to 300,000 shekels, even if damage is not proven.

Orlev, one of the sponsors of the proposal, said that if changes are not made by the time of the bill's second and third reading, he will vote against it.
