The Knesset Labor, Welfare and Health Committee approved for preliminary reading, Monday, a bill that says a woman staying in a shelter for battered women for more than a month qualifies for an income guarantee from the National Insurance Institute.

Currently these women don't qualify, as opposed to people on probation and drug rehabilitation.
