The government informed the Supreme Court, Sunday night, that it accepts the court's proposal of retired justice Yitzchak Zamir to be one of the mediators in talks with medical residents who are dissatisfied with their working conditions under the latest collective bargaining agreement between the state and the Israel Medical Federation.
The state rejected President Motti Meroni of the M'gashrei Yisrael mediators' association. It proposed Professor Yitzchak Peterburg, cited by government representatives for his experience in mediation and knowing the issues from up close. Other choices were hospital and health fund officials Yonatan Halevi, Dan Oppenheim and Ze'ev Warmbrand. In the state's written response, the Hadassah Medical Organization submitted the additional name of Doctor Rami Ditzian.
