Netanyahu: Implementing Trajtenberg will Reduce Poverty

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said, Thursday that the a central way to reduce gaps in Israeli society and lower the cost of living was through education with as much individual attention as possible. Responding to a report on poverty, he said implementing recommendations of the Trajtenberg Committee on socioeconomic change will improve the condition of the weak strata of society when coupled with a negative income tax and positive changes in the employment picture.

Netanyahu said it was not an easy task, adding that the changes should come within the existing budget framework, with an eye to avoid the financial troubles facing other countries.
