A crusader-era tablet in Arabic praising Christian belief and the “Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire,” Freidrich II, was authenticated by senior archaeologists at Hebrew University this week. As such, it is the only such crusader-era artifact in Arabic ever found, archaeologists said.
The tablet, some 800 years old, was found years ago on a building in Tel Aviv, and apparently was originally part of the walls of Jaffa.
