MKs Against Renewed PA Funding

A letter signed by 35 Knesset members and ministerial aides was sent, Monday, to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Treasurer Yuval Steinitz, calling on them to stop the flow of funds to the Palestinian Authority, ahead of cabinet debate on resumption of payments that were frozen when the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization approved the PA as a member.

Member of Knesset Moshe Matalon (Yisrael Beiteinu), who initiated the letter, said that statements by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas show that he supports and encourages terror, and halting the flow of funds is necessary "and of inestimable importance for Israel's security."
