Interns Threaten Not to Work Monday

More than 200 medical residents threatened not to come to work at hospitals, Monday morning, following a lack of progress in talks with the government, according to Israel Defense Forces Radio. The interns said they intended to implement the ruling of Supreme Court Judge Chanan Meltzer, under which they are entitled to quit if their resignation is real and they don't intend to return to work later.

The residents are dissatisfied with the way they were treated in the latest collective bargaining agreement between the government and the Israel Medical Federation.
