An Israeli citizen died on Friday morning after IDF soldiers stationed at a checkpoint accidentally fired shots at an Israeli vehicle on Highway 60, near Beit Haggai.
An initial investigation found that the driver of the Israeli vehicle ran over one of the soldiers for reasons that are still being investigated. The soldiers thought that the car was driven by terrorists and fired at it. Three other people were wounded in the incident, including one IDF soldier.
