Education Minister Gideon Sa'ar (Likud) lambasted the recent trend of "price-tag" vandalism, calling the vandalism a "violent and dangerous cancerous growth that must be obliterated."

Speaking at a memorial ceremony at the Central Youth Assembly to mark 16 years since the assassination of former prime minister Yitzhak Rabin, the education minister said perpetrators of "price-tag" attacks were "enemies of Judaism and the State of Israel."

Sa'ar called on law enforcement authorities to "act vigorously to eradicate this awful phenomenon."
