Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange started Tuesday trading with modest declines in mixed trading. The TA composite index checked in at 994.31, down .09 percent while the TA 100 slipped .11 percent to 1,006.05, including a .12 percent decline by the Maof 25 most-widely invested stocks to 1,110.66.
The communications stocks opened at 878.88, up .37 percent, and the oil and natural gas index rose .05 percent to 1,165.50, while the real estate index slipped .08 percent to 283.56. The insurance index started the day 1,072.15, down .09 percent, while the bank stocks declined .57 percent to 992.97 to give the financial institutions index an opening figure of 929.76, down .49 percent. Most of the technology stocks were down .64 percent at 275.90, while the biomed issues slipped .01 percent to 730.67.
