MK Michael Ben-Ari slammed government Minister Binyamin Begin Monday, after the latter advocated demolishing homes of Jews in new communities in Judea and Samaria that were built on land claimed by Arabs. Begin said that any home that the High Court had ruled should be vacated needed to be demolished.
Ben-Ari called Begin's stance “a disgusting attempt to put on a display of respect for the law. Apparently this advocate of law and justice has forgotten that just a few weeks ago the government released terrorists, thereby canceling over 1,000 verdicts of the High Court.” Ben-Ari added that Likud members like Begin needed to decide which side they were on. “They cannot claim to be lovers of the land of Israel, and at the same time attempt to destroy it. Likud members should resign and leave the ranks of Benny Begin and his hypocritical friends. Likud members legitimize Benny Begin and the Prime Minister in their racist demolition plan,” he added.
