Katzav Ruling Due Out Thursday

A three-judge panel of the Supreme Court is expected to issue its ruling, Thursday, in former president Moshe Katzav's appeal against a conviction and seven-year prison charge on a number of sexually-related charges. If the judges reject the appeal, Katzav is scheduled to start serving his sentence immediately. He faces two years of probation when his prison time is up.

Katzav's passport is being held at the Tel Aviv District Court and he is to post a 100,000-shekel bond.
