Labor Court to Hold Hearing on Strike

The National Labor Court in Jerusalem is scheduled to meet at 18:30 to consider the legality and motions against a general strike called by the Histadrut Labor Federation for Monday. The union is seeking to significantly reduce the number of workers hired through personnel agencies by making them full-time employees of the bodies, public and private, that contract for their labor.

The strike threatens to close government offices and ports. The Israel Electric Company says it will work on a Shabbat schedule.
