Rav Re’em Hacohen, the head of the yeshiva in Otniel, called on the public to participate in the prayers for rainfall which began on Thursday.

“There is a great shortage in rain and water today, even though we all have tap water,” Rav Hacohen told Arutz Sheva. “Anyone who has a general perception needs to pray for rain. It requires us to give up our private prayer for the sake of public one and to really understand that Israel lacks water and needs this divine abundance.”
