Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized Germany on Tuesday, saying Berlin was attempting to foil Turkey’s attempts to join the European Union.
Erdogan, who is in Germany on a state visit, said in an interview with the daily tabloid Bild, “Germany must do a lot more on this issue. We feel very disappointed.”
While Erdogan described Germany as an open and loyal country, he was critical of its failure to appropriately receive its Turkish immigrants.
