Chairman Uri Orbach of the Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party) Knesset faction expressed the faction's opposition to the state's agreeing to the Supreme Court's determination that unauthorized Jewish communities on private property in Judea and Samaria must be destroyed.
In an urgent letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Tuesday, ahead of the state's response to the court, Orbach wrote that the response must note the establishment of a committee to study the matter, which should dictate a delay in any court decision. He also mentioned bills before the Knesset to resolve the issue. Orbach concluded, "Please don't undermine our cooperation. The purpose of the government is to build houses and communities across the country. Not to uproot them."
