Police Roust Bereaved Hevron Jewish Family

Detectives, accompanied by Yassam special police forces, raided the apartment of a Jewish widow and her children in Hevron's Beit Hadassah (Hadassah House) at 5:00 Tuesday morning, in search for the personal weapon of the woman's husband, who died a few months ago from a serious illness. The police had searched the apartment before, after family reported the weapon stolen.

Member of Knesset Michael Ben-Ari (National Union) called the incident a case of "shocking insensitivity of the police."He added "In this case it would have been appropriate to show "consideration for the other", given that there was already a search. This is pure harassment."
