Businessman Nachum Manbar was released from the Sharon Prison, Monday, 18 months shy of finishing a 16-year sentence for selling weapons to Iran. The prison's parole committee approved his release after security officials and prosecutors agreed Manbar posed no risk.
Manbar underwent an intensive three-year program of rehabilitative therapy after the failure of earlier parole attempts. He has agreed to limitations beyond normal probation, including not travelling outside of Israel or talking to foreign citizens or the media. He will also not do anything connected with the weapons trade.
