Arson and Nationalist Grafitti at Jaffa Restaurant

Police say they are investigating all possibilities, including that of a business dispute, in the burning of a Yafo (Jaffa) restaurant and the spray-painting of Jewish nationalist slogans on its walls, Sunday evening. Workers came to the Abu Al-Abid restaurant on Yefet Street, Monday morning and discovered fire damage and the words "Kahane was right, " and "price tag" written on the walls. The first slogan refers to the policy of Rabbi Meire Kahane to transfer hostile Arabs out of the country. The second one has been used a lot recently in vandalism against Arabs, their supporters and government installations in response to actions against Jews in Judea and Samaria.

"Price tag" was one of the slogans recently spray-painted in Muslim and Christian cemeteries in Yafo. No suspects have been caught and the feeling of police is growing that there is no connection to other "price tag" incidents.
