No State Opposition to Manbar Release

Nachum Manbar, who has served 14.5 years of a 16-year sentence for selling arms to Iran, could be paroled soon, after Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein said the state has no opposition. Security sources say that Manbar does not pose a risk following a thorough three-year program of rehabilitation treatment.

Manbar has agreed to certain conditions beyond the parole period. They include not leaving the country or contacting foreign citizens, not giving interviews to the media and not getting involved in anything associated with the weapons trade.
