The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened down slightly in mixed trading on Monday. The TA composite index slipped .21 percent to 1,018.00, slightly better than the .22 percent decline of the TA 100 to 1029.83, including an opening of 1,142.18 by the Maof 25 most-widely-capitalized issues, down .29 percent.
The Blue Tech index was up .32 percent at 273.87, including an opening of 749.01 by the biomed stocks, up .15 percent. Insurance issues were up a tenth of a percent at 1,186.73 while bank stocks slipped a quarter of a percent to 1,060.87, putting the financial institutions index down .04 percent at 998.84. The media and communications index, which was the only one to rise on Sunday, was down .34 percent at 907.31, while the oil and gas stocks checked in at 1,135.13, down two tenths of a percent. The real estate index was down .29 percent at 293.24.
