Dayan: State Attorney's, Civl Administration Run State

Chairman Danny Dayan of the Yesha Council of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria said, Sunday, that the intention to reduce the authority of the committee to be appointed to authorize unauthorized Jewish communities almost completely wrenches any substance from its function. Referring to the legal opinion by Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein that the committee cannot change existing demolition orders on a thousand homes in the region, Dayan said it appears as if Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu waived his authority to manage the State Prosecutor's Office and the Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria and that those two bodies are managing the government.

Dayan added that Netanyahu's heritage during his current term includes his Bar-Ilan speech, the freeze of construction in Judea and Samaria, fewer building permits and the release of security prisoners. He said the regime could not allow the destruction of communities to be added to this, explaining that ministers should see to it that the concept is removed from the political lexicon. Dayan also said that authority should be returned to its original sources.
