Deputy State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan applied to the Israel Police, Thursday, to investigate Professor Eyal Nir of Ben Gurion University for posting a call on his Facebook page "to break the necks of the flag dancers," following a parade by Land of Israel activists in eastern Jerusalem on Jerusalem Day. The call accompanied a video clip of the marchers chanting insults at area Arabs.

In 2010, the chemistry professor was arrested for shouting racial epithets at a soldier during an anti-Israel demonstration.
