Police in Jerusalem must get serious about confronting extremist Jewish sects, attorney Yair Nahorai said Wednesday, speaking to Arutz Sheva. “If this escalation is not properly dealt with, it is likely to lead to serious clashes and bloodshed,” he warned.
Nahorai is representing Avraham Hirschman, a young hareidi-religious man who has been hospitalized in moderate condition following an attack. Hirschman was attacked by extremists who resent his role in a conflict over housing, Nahorai said. There were many warnings of the impending attack, he said, and police were informed of the threats a week ago.
