Proposal: Trade Grapel for Pollard

Israel should trade Israeli-American citizen Ilan Grapel to the United States in exchange for Jonathan Pollard, MK Michael Ben-Ari (Ichud Leumi) suggested Wednesday. “I would agree to that trade,” he told justices, during an appeal against a planned prisoner release to free Grapel.

Grapel has been held in Egypt for several months. Egyptian authorities have accused him of spying for Israel, a charge that Israel has dismissed as nonsense.
