MK Zevulun Orlev (Jewish Home) has proposed a law that would legalize the towns of Amona and Migron, and the neighborhoods of Givat Assaf and Haulpana. The neighborhoods in question face demolition after PA Arabs claimed ownership of the land they were built on – several years after construction was finished.
The law would allow courts to legalize homes in cases where a person claims ownership of the land only four or more years after the home was built. In such a case, the court could offer the person claiming ownership alternate land or financial compensation in place of destroying the home.
