The new government in Libya said Monday it would investigate the circumstances of the death of Muammar Qaddafi. Mustafa Abed al-Jalil, temporary head of the the Libyan government, announced that a committee to investigate would be set up, at the behest of the international community.
Speaking at a press conference in Benghazi, al-Jalil added that a permanent government would be announced within two weeks. That government would rule until elections are held, probably at the beginning of 2012.
