Terror Alert in Jerusalem

Brisk activity of police cars and helicopters at the western entrance to Jerusalem, Monday afternoon, was attributed to a terror alert in the capital. Terror organizations are apparently making an effort to execute a bombing incident in or around Jerusalem, following the release of Gilad Shalit.

An Arab youth with a 14cm/5.5" knife and a homemade detonator was arrested by Border Guards, Sunday, at a roadblock near the Me'arat Hamachpelah Cave of the Patriarchs in Hevron. The arrest represented the third attempt at a stabbing attack in four days, in addition to Shabbat's stabbing of a teenager in Jerusalem's Ramot neighborhood and a thwarted attack at the Gush Etzion Junction on the eve of Simchat Torah, last Wednesday.
