Arab Olive Harvest in Talmon Under Police Protection

Arabs, accompanied by Israeli Border Guards and police, including Yassam special police forces, began harvesting olives, Monday morning, in the Talmonim bloc of Binyamin-region Jewish communities, according to the Tatzpit documentary arm of the Land of Israel Legal Forum. The harvest is expected to last until Thursday.

In voicing their objection to the Arab presence, community representatives reminded authorities that one of the terrorists who took part in March's murder of five members of the Fogel family in Itamar gained access to that community and gathered intelligence while under the protection afforded Arabs during an olive harvest. Following the army's refusal to listen to them, one resident accused the commander of the Binyamin Brigade of wanting "to create a false reality in which Jewish residents are problematic and the creators of the riots, which is manifest from his behavior in all sectors, and the Talmonim bloc in particular."
