Several Israeli musicians have released songs celebrating the release of kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit.
Veteran singer Arik Einstein released "Now That You are Here". Lyrics include the lines "You will always be a hero,”
A duo called Moses and Ayalon have released a hip-hop track and video called "Gilad is Home". It includes the line "I don't want to sound racist, but one Jew is worth 1000 prisoners." The reference is to the over 1,000 Hamas terrorists released in exchange for Shalit.
