About 4,000 residents of central Israel signed up to relocate to the Negev and the Galilee during a housing and employment fair held this week at the port of Tel Aviv, according to a Friday-morning report by Kol Yisrael government radio.

The registrants will be offered housing and jobs in peripheral communities.
