More than 3,000 people from around Israel, including religious and public figures, gathered for prayers, Monday evening, at Joseph's Tomb in the Palestinian Authority-assigned Samarian city of Shechem. The prayer coincided with the intermediate evening of the Sukkot holiday dedicated to Joseph, who is a symbolic guest in the booths set up by Jews for the week-long Sukkot holiday.
The Samarian Regional Council erected a sukka at the site.
