Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is expected to make a short speech when Gilad Shalit arrives in Israel Tuesday morning. Netanyahu will meet Shalit at the Tel Nof Air Base, where the kidnapped IDF soldier will first be brought when he is released. There will be no press coverage of Shalit's arrival, although parts of the event will be broadcast a short time later.
In his speech, Netanyahu is expected to say that “our nation is different because we do not celebrate the release of terrorists.” Israelis celebrate freedom for their countrymen, not for murderers, the Prime Minister will say.
