Kerem Shalom Area to be Closed Off

The entire area around Kerem Shalom in southern Israel will be closed beginning Monday night, and remain closed until the hundreds of terrorists to be exchanged for Gilad Shalit are transferred to Egypt, and Israeli authorities have custody of Shalit. Residents of the the towns and villages in the area will be required to pass through numerous checkpoints, while people who do not live in the area will not have any access.

In addition, police said that several roads in the area would be closed, as buses transported the terrorists to the border.
