Over 200,000 Israelis visited the country's national parks Monday, as Chol Hamoed Sukkot celebrations and trips continued. Altogether, over 300,000 people visited nature spots and hiking trails, the Parks Authority and Jewish National Fund said, with the most popular sites in northern Israel.
Also very popular with Israelis of all backgrounds were the Simchat Beit Hashoeva celebrations, being held by Hassidic courts in cities around the country, with tens of thousands crowding Chareidi neighborhoods in order to see unique performances and enjoy the holiday atmosphere.
