Noam Shalit: Delays Will Only Hurt Gilad

Speaking at the High Court discussion on whether or not to prevent the release of over 1,000 terrorists in exchange for his son, Noam Shalit said that he understood the pain of victims' families opposed to the deal, but that failing to go through with the deal will not bring their loved ones back. A delay could, however, hurt Gilad, he said.

He said that the deal was difficult for everyone, but that there were victims' families who gave their consent. “I am sorry that not all the families joined us when we tried to pressure Hamas, and attempted to stop the transfer of funds and goods to Gaza,” he added.
