A Petach Tikvah court on Monday rejected a petition by the family of terrorist murder victim Kinneret Mandel, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Gush Etzion in 2005, preventing three terrorists involved in her murder from being permitted to leave the country. Rivka and Itamar Mandel, her parents, filed a NIS 1.5 million damages lawsuit against the terrorist, and appealed to the court to ensure that they not be permitted to be allowed to leave the country, because they would not be able to collect damages if the court found that they were owed damages, as is likely.
The court said that the issue was a matter of national security and was being handled by the highest levels of government, a situation which trumps their right to due process in this lawsuit.
