Following Sunday's sharp gains, most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange started trading, Monday morning, with modest gains in mixed trading. Leading the way were the media and communications stocks, which were up 1.21 percent at 845.07, while the oil and natural stocks were down .74 percent at 1,084.37.
The TA composite index checked in at at 1,010.97, up .33 percent, while the TA 100 was up .37 percent at 1,026.15, including a .36 gain by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues to 1,135.37. With insurance stocks up .99 percent at 1,201.29, the financial institution index posted an opening of 998.90, up .66 percent. The Bluetech technology index stood at 268.08, up .19 percent, including a .18 percent rise by the biomedical issues to 706.20.
