Barak Approves Exchange Details

Defense Minister Ehud Barak approved, Sunday, plans for carrying out the exchange of abducted soldier Gilad Shalit for 1,027 murderers and other security prisoners. The plans call for coordinated deliveries of the Arabs to various points abroad, in Gaza, eastern Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and within the 1949 cease fire lines, as well as Shalit's delivery to Israel.

The approval came during a meeting in Barak's office, where various contingencies were discussed, including security preparedness. He said the reception for Gilad will be a modest one, stressing the needs of the soldier and his family.
