The official value of the shekel declined an average of .099 percent in mixed trading, Friday, against the other currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The value of the United States dollar remained at its Wednesday rate of NIS 3.66 and the Euro was unchanged at 5.051 shekels. Also staying unchanged was the Lebanese pound, ten of which equal NIS .0243.
The pound sterling rose .064 percent to 5.7735 shekels. The leading gainer on the day was the Australian dollar, up 1.201 percent at NIS 3.7493, while the South African rand fell 1.127 percent to .4651 shekels.
