Minister Uzi Landau, who voted against the deal to release Gilad Shalit, said following the vote that “the deal is a great victory of terrorism and hurts Israel’s deterrence and security. I want to pray and hope that at least it since we voted against, the government will thoroughly examine our policies from now on.”
Landau added, however, that since it was decided to release Shalit, the ministers must do everything they can to realize the decision.
