The Ministry of Health announced, Tuesday morning, that 394 letters of resignation by medical residents have gone into effect since Monday.
The largest number was 105 at Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital, followed by 78 at Meir Hospital in Kfar Sava. The Sheva Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, east of Tel Aviv, reported 76 resignations and Rambam Hospital in Haifa was missing 74 interns before those numbers were augmented, Tuesday morning, to 87. The nearby Bnei Tzion Hospital was short 22 interns and 20 residents resigned from Wolfson Hospital in Holon, south of Tel Aviv. Sixteen interns left Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, east of Tel Aviv, and three resigned from the Mt. Scopus branch of Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem.
