Despite a promise by medical residents to suspend letters of resignation until midnight Monday evening, hospitals are concerned that a number of interns will not come to work during the day on Monday, according to Israel Defense Forces Radio. Intern leaders have scheduled a news conference, Monday morning, to announce their next steps. Representatives of the residents broke off talks with representatives of the government on Sunday. The talks have not been renewed.
