350 Sukkot holiday booths will compete for “best IDF Sukka”. 7 will be selected from the first round, and then the winner will be declared.
Competition parameters are sukka size, location (near mess hall and hand washing) decorations, and of course meeting halakhic criteria.
The unit commander supervises construction, the military rabbinate provides Halakhic input, and the Education Division decorate.
The competition aims to demonstrate the cooperation between the various IDF units.
