The Al-Nour (Light) party plans to run 88 women in Egypt's parliamentary election, according to a Friday report by the Egyptian newspaper Al-Youm Al-Sabe'a.

Party sources said that 58 women were elected to the list and the party intends to add another 30 female candidates to the ballot. The party chairman said Al-Nour members will also welcome Coptic Christian candidates.
