Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple and its first CEO, passed away on Wednesday after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 56.
Jobs resigned as CEO in August because of his illness, and said: “I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.”
