UNRWA Teachers in Pro-Hamas Protest

The Gaza teachers hired by the UN’s Relief and Works Agency to work in its local schools protested Wednesday because a senior teacher was not allowed to work with Hamas, according to the Bethlehem-based Maan news. Teachers held a sit-in at the UNRWA headquarters in Gaza calling to reinstate the teacher, Suheil al-Hindi.

Hindi was fired after taking part in events alongside senior Hamas terrorists, in violation of UN guidelines. UNRWA has warned workers who belong to Fatah, Hamas and other terrorist groups not to display their affiliation openly.
